The British Columbia Conservation Foundation is committed to ensuring the protection of workers from occupational hazards. When hazards cannot be eliminated through engineering controls or substitution of materials, management will identify and provide appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
The Personal Protective Equipment Program is in place to ensure that the required PPE is identified, provided and used properly. PPE requirements will be identified through the review of hazard assessments and as prescribed by legislation. The required PPE will be communicated to workers during orientation and review of the PSA.
Management and supervision will ensure workers are knowledgeable on the hazards associated with their work and trained on the proper use, care and maintenance of PPE per manufacturer instructions.
