Welcome to the BC Conservation Foundation Fisheries Office, Nanaimo, BC
BCCF’s Fisheries Office in Nanaimo conducts a variety of research, stock assessment, and habitat restoration projects on Vancouver Island as well as elsewhere in BC. With its roots in the past Vancouver Island Steelhead Recovery Plan and the Living Rivers-Georgia Basin Program, the BCCF fisheries team has evolved to work with a range of partners in facilitating fisheries conservation projects. This includes the conceptualization, development, and implementation of projects in collaboration with a range of partners, including First Nations, environmental and stewardship groups, as well as all levels of government. Through these endeavours, BCCF is always pursuing its objective of restoring, perpetuating, and expanding fish populations within healthy aquatic ecosystems.
Our team offers experience and expertise, combined with an extensive history of successful project development, funding, and implementation. As a not-for-profit registered charity, BCCF offers highly competitive rates, innovative and skilled staff, and a commitment to professional services in the best interests of fish and wildlife resource conservation.
