Attention all BC students who are aspiring wildlife artists! The BC Conservation Foundation is pleased to announce its first Children’s Artwork Contest, featuring the amazing wildlife of BC, open to students who are friends and family of BCCF. Twelve winning submissions will be showcased on our website for each month of 2019, and winners will receive a special prize pack.

The mandate of BCCF is to promote and assist in the conservation of the fish and wildlife resources of the Province of British Columbia through the protection, acquisition or enhancement of fish and wildlife habitat.


Contest Criteria

  • Drawing or painting of a favourite BC animal (colour or black and white)
    • Maximum size of 8 ½ x 11”
    • Can be  sent as a digital copy via email (, or as a hard copy mailed/dropped off to 206-17564 56A Ave., Surrey, BC V3S 1G3 (Attn: BCCF Artwork Contest)
    • Please include a completed entry form with your submission
  • Open to any student  gr. K-12 in BC that is a friend or family member of a BCCF employee or Board Member
  • Deadline for all submissions is November 30, 2018.
  • BCCF selection committee will choose 12 winners, 3 from each of  the following categories, based on grade of student when entering 2018-19 school year. (Note these categories may be adjusted slightly based on number of entries):
    • K-2
    • 3-6
    • 7-9
    • 10-12
  • Winners will be featured on the BCCF webpage for one month. (Note that only first name, grade and city will be published)
  • Successful artists will be notified in December  2018, and will be notified of which month their artwork will be showcased
  • Monthly winners will receive a nature and art prize pack (valued at approx. $100).
