Opportunities
At BCCF we hire for and manage conservation project work as the funding comes available. We generally offer the following three options for those seeking work in this field:
  1. We hire employees under term agreements for defined projects (usually 2-9 months in duration) in conjunction with government, industry, and/or program partners throughout the province;
  2. We issue deliverable-based contracts to professional, self-employed contractors for specific research projects; or
  3. We hire employees from our internal “on-call” database for temporary assignments.

Opportunities for the first two types of work, when available, are posted as links below. In these cases, applications must only be submitted directly to the contact listed within each posting link.  Please scroll down to see current available postings and apply, if desired, through the link provided within each posting.

For the third type of employment we are looking for “on-call” candidates with prior industry-relevant experience who are:

  1. Available to work on short notice (often less than 2 weeks);
  2. Residing in or willing to relocate to (on short notice) one or more region(s) within British Columbia (downtown Vancouver, North Vancouver, Delta, the Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island and the South Okanagan being the most common locations);
  3. Willing to complete a security screening process for reliability-level clearance recognized by the Federal Government of Canada, which can include but is not limited to a personal background check, a criminal records check and a credit check; and
  4. Legally entitled to work in Canada (must have a valid Social Insurance Number).

If you are willing and able to meet all 4 criteria listed above and would like to be considered for this "on-call" temporary work with BCCF please submit your resume for review to: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
