Regional Personnel

Barb Waters

Regional Manager

Barb Waters joined the BC Conservation Foundation in 2004 as a project coordinator. She now leads the Northern BC Regional Office as Regional Manager.  Her educational background in Outdoor Recreation, gives her inside understanding, of the rigors associated with the many projects that she effectively manages.  The years Barb lived in the remote Haida Gwaii with her family has contributed to a keen awareness of the environment and how it is impacted by outside factors.

Barb brings a passion for mentorship to BCCF.   Her strong ethic in mentoring the next generation of environmental stewards has resulted in success stories and memories of a lifetime, for many of the employees under her guidance.   Her exceptional skills at bringing people together has expanded valuable contacts and facilitated growth in the BC Conservation Foundation Northern Regional office.

Shalan Eppinger

Assistant Regional Coordinator

Shalan has joined BCCF as an Assistant Regional Coordinator. She enjoys the variety that her position offers and welcomes the challenge of developing new skills.

Prior to joining the BC Conservation Foundation Shalan spent 4 years in the service industry.  Using her strong coordinating abilities, she ensured that the employees and customers were well taken care of. She now transfers these skills to her position with the BCCF.   Shalan juggles the rigors of raising a young family but still finds time to exercise her flair for design and decorating.

Chloe

Office Mascot

Chloe is a 4 year old Chocolate Lab.  She has been with the BC Conservation Foundation Northern Office for 2 ½ years.  Chloe’s table clearing, happy, wagging tail, ensures that there is a smile on everyone’s face at some point during the day.  She is ever vigilant in keeping a watchful eye on the comings and goings of people.  When she’s not at work you will find Chloe hiking and swimming (weather permitting) and lounging.
